KAIROS Applauds Gov. Beshear for Signing House Bill 248 into Law to Improve Access to Quality Recovery Housing

We applaud Gov. Beshear for quickly signing House Bill 248 into law and the General Assembly for bringing this important legislation to passage. HB 248 will improve access to quality, safe recovery housing, which is critical to sustaining long-term recovery among individuals with substance use disorders. 

This legislation is another example of the great strides Kentucky is making to address the social determinants of health and set up individuals in recovery for success. We’re appreciative of the collective effort behind HB 248 and remain committed to advocating for policies that will help us better serve Kentuckians with SUD.
